Fuel filling station pipe dispenses water!

Sambalpur: What would you do you after petrol pumps start dispensing water instead of petrol? Several people in Sambalpur were also taken aback when similar thing was reported at a filling station at Charbhati on Thursday.

The incident sparked resentment and tension as vehicles of several consumers developed technical snag after petrol was diluted with water at the Dwari petrol pump here.

As soon as the news spread, people gathered outside the filling station and staged a demonstration and demanded an impartial probe into the incident.

Sources said, the incident could be due to some glitches in storage unit of the filing station.

Though the owner of the filling station was asked about the matter, he did not want to answer.

Meanwhile, the district administration has ordered a probe to ascertain the exact cause on how water got diluted with petrol stored at the filling station.
