Fresh depression in Bay of Bengal likely to trigger heavy rainfall in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: As the cyclonic circulation in the southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining regions is gaining strength, coastal Odisha is likely to get moderate to heavy rain and thundershowers in the next 48 hours.

According to Skymet Weather, due to the cyclonic circulation, coastal Odisha is expected to witness heavy rain accompanied by strong gusty winds and moderate lightning strikes in the next couple of days.

Moreover, clouding is likely to increase along with a rise in temperature between October 17 and 18. Besides after October 19, rainfall over the areas may increase.

Meanwhile, the sea conditions will remain harsh during this period so the fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea.
