Bhubaneswar: Hours after four girls went missing from their uncle’s house in Jagatsinghpur district, police rescued them from Cuttack late Saturday night.

All the girls including three sisters were rescued from Jagannath plastic unit at Jagatpur by a special team of Jagatsinghpur police after a complaint was lodged by the family members yesterday.

It is suspected that the girls left their house following a dispute with their grandfather over some issues.

Later Prakash Mallick,  a youth from Kulasahi village had lured the girls to provide them jobs at the plastic company. However, further investigation in connection with the incident is on.

Police said three minor siblings and another girl reportedly had left their uncle’s house yesterday evening. Later, the family had lodged a missing complaint with police after they failed to trace them.

Senior police officials said the girls were rescued after police traced mobile phone of one of the girls.
