Bhubaneswar: While panic in Niali over death of sheep refuses to die down, the BJD MLA who went to take stock of the situation in the village is in news for all the wrong reasons because of his footwear.

The Niali legislator Pramod Mallik visited to the block today and was taking stock of the measures taken to trace the mysterious killer that has been killing large number of sheep since last few days in the area when he came across a muddied road. The MLA then removed his shoes as he didn’t want his shoes to get wet.

However, controversy erupted when a villager was caught on camera carrying the MLA's shoes. After reaching to a nearby pucca road, the villager fetched him the shoes.

While the issue has fuelled a controversy, the MLA is yet to comment on the issue.
