Football prodigy Chandan returns from Germany

Bhubaneswar: Chandan Nayak, the promising 11-year old football player of the Sabar Sahi slum in the city, returned home on Thursday after a week-long training at the iconic football club Bayern Munich in Germany.

Chandan, who joined the club as an academy player, took training from senior Germany football players there.

Sharing his experience, Chandan, said, “It was a nice experience for me. It will help me to boost my career in future.”

“I hope I will get another chance to participate in other training programs like this in the future,” Chandan added.

Notably, as many as 205 players across the globe participated in the training programme organised by the club in Germany.
