Bhubaneswar: In order to decongest traffic, two flyovers will be constructed at Khandagiri and Gohira square in the city.

According to sources, a decision in this regard was taken at a high level meeting, chaired by chief secretary AP Padhi, at state secretariat yesterday.

National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) will float tenders for construction of these two flyovers on NH-16 in this month, sources added.

Nalinikanta Pradhan, PWD secretary, said, “The meeting was attended by chief secretary and members of NHAI. Discussions on various pojects of state government which are being carried out by NHAI were made in the meeting.”

“The chief secretary has also directed to expedite the project works,” Pradhan added.

Besides, discussions on of progress of various NHAI projects- Balasore-Baripada, Baripada-Keonjhar, Cuttack-Angul and Bhubaneswar-Puri, were held in the meeting.
