Five officials had attempted to enter HC judge's house: CBI in reply to Cuttack DCP

Cuttack: At least five officials of CBI including inspector PK Mishra had tried to enter the residence of Orissa High Court judge, Justice CR Das, informed Cuttack DCP Akhileswar Singh today.

In pursuant to the information sought by the Police, the central probe agency had furnished the above details to the DCP.

Based on the information provided by CBI, Singh said the central probe team had tried to enter the house of justice Das inadvertently assuming it to be the quarters of former Orissa High Court judge IM Quddusi, who was later arrested in Delhi in connection with a medical college scam.

The wrong entry of CBI officials had invited sharp criticism from lawyers across Odisha. The High Court Bar Association had launched a day-long cease work stir protesting the act of the central agency.

A case was also registered at Cantonment Police Station in Cuttack following which the DCP had shot a letter to CBI seeking details about incident.
