Fisherman goes missing after boat capsizes in Rengali reservoir

Pallahara: A man went missing as his fishing boat capsized in Rengali reservoir here at Jharabahala in Angul district last night.

A fire tender unit from here has launched a search operation to trace the missing person, identified as Budhuram Tapan. The fisherman, who belongs to Jharabahal village of Batisuan panchayat, had gone to the reservoir for fishing on his country boat.

However, the boat reportedly sank in deep water due to strong wind caused by nor'wester last night.

The fellow fishermen tried to rescue Tapan, but failed. Later they informed the villagers and fire tender units.
