First international flight to take off from Bhubaneswar tomorrow

Bhubaneswar: A milestone awaits the Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar as the first international flight from the airport will take off tomorrow.

The scheduled flight of AirAsia to Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia will take off at 11:55 PM tomorrow from Bhubaneswar.

In the preliminary stage, the flight will operate 4 days a week.

The Bhubaneswar Airport was accorded approval for international operations in 2013.

“This will be the first direct flight from Bhubaneswar to an international destination,” said Tourism minister, Ashok Panda.
