Fire breaks out at City hospital’s medicine godown in Cuttack

Cuttack: Around 15 cartons of medicines were reportedly gutted in a fire that broke out at a medicine godown of City hospital here at 12 noon today.

According to sources, people spotted smoke coming out of the hospital’s medicine godown and immediately informed fire tenders who reached the spot and took control over the situation.

“Short-circuit in a fan caused the fire. It did not cause any major loss. The fire department officials and hospital workers extinguished the fire in time as just a few boxes are damaged.” said Additional District Medical Officer, Abhya Kumar Pattnaik.
