Fire breaks out at Bolangir DHH, no casualty

Bolangir: A fire broke out at the Bolangir District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) this morning destroying few property at  the district programme management unit of the National Health Rural Mission (NHRM). The unit was located on the hospital premises.

Getting information, fire personnel reached the spot and doused the flames.

Though the exact reason behind the mishap is yet to be ascertained, it is suspected that an air conditioner installed in the office caught fire due to short circuit.

“We were informed about the incident at around 9.45 am. We rushed to the spot and managed to douse the flames. A computer, AC and some documents have been destroyed in the fire. The loss of property is yet to be ascertained,” said Panchanan Behera, station officer, Bolangir Fire Station.
