Fire at CRPF godown in Rayagada

Rayagada: Property worth lakhs of rupees including articles meant for jawans has been gutted in a major fire mishap at CRPF godown in Rayagada.

The incident occurred at around 1 am on Saturday while it took nearly an hour for local fire tenders to douse the flames.

According to reports, fire broke out in BQ and CQ godowns and all the uniforms, documents and other articles of the jawans stored in the godown have been reduced to ashes.

Though the exact reason is still unclear, it is suspected that the fire was caused due to a possible electrical short circuit.
