Father beats son to death over property dispute in Balasore

Balasore: Dispute over property took ugly turn after a 35-year-old  youth was beaten to death by his father and brother at Badapokhari village under Oupada block in Balasore district late last night.

The deceased identified as Jangal Singh (35) was having a long-standing feud with father Ram Singh and brother over a piece of land, sources said.

Ram Singh along with son Bacha Singh thrashed Jangal mercilessly yesterday.

Following the incident, local villagers rescued Jangal and rushed him to Oupada hospital in a critical condition.

Though Jangal was then shifted to the Soro Community Health Centre, he succumbed to injuries later.

Meanwhile, local police have reached the spot and detained Ram Singh and his son Bacha Singh while further investigation in connection with the murder is still on.
