Fast food vendor stabbed in Khurda

Khurda: A fast food vendor was stabbed by some unidentified miscreants over suspected past enmity near Siko Bazaar under Jankia police limits in Khurda district late Wednesday night.

The body of the deceased, identified as Sanjay Majhi of Siko Dalei Sahi, was found lying near the bazaar.

On being informed, police rushed to the spot, seized the body and sent it to the Khurda hospital for postmortem.

While the exact reason behind the killing is yet to be ascertained, past enmity is suspected to be the reason behind the murder.

The police have started investigation into the murder of Majhi.

Meanwhile, two platoons of police have been deployed in the area to avoid any untoward incident.
