Bhubaneswar: Name an Indian handloom and you will find it at the Boutiques of India exhibition that kicked off today in the city. Designers from across the country have showcased their fashion collection based on weaves and crafts of various states at this two-day long event.

From gorgeous attires in ethnic and traditional designs for festive occasions to formals for daily and office wear, shopaholics are spoilt for choice. Intricately crafted gota patti, gold thread embroidery, sequins and many more embellishments on suits, kurtis and sarees are being offered by boutiques from Calcutta, Jaipur, Mumbai, Pune and so on.

Jewellery, home décor and skin care products are also available at the exhibition.

The fashion exhibition offers plenty of products for buyers of all ages.

“We are wedding line lifestyle exhibition organisers and we have our branches in 16 cities and it’s our first event in Bhubaneswar. We have organised 150 such events across the country. In this exhibition we have 35 stalls from different parts of India like Jaipur, Delhi, Pune, Kolkata, Mumbai and Bengaluru. As per review it’s going good today and we expect more visitors tomorrow,” said the Exhibition Organiser.

‘Boutiques of India’ has come up at just the right time ushering in the Puja season.
