Farmers stage protest in front of Paradip refinery

Paradip: Farmers who have lost their land staged protest in front of Paradip oil refinery today demanding permanent jobs.

In an overnight mass protest under the banner of 'Jamihara Krushak Ekta Manch,' the farmers and their family members staged demonstration in front of the refinery, holding utensils.

According to sources, even though the protests began on May 1, the district administration and company workers have not taken any steps. Alleging apathy, the farmers decided to stage a mass protest along with their family members, sources informed.

The protesting farmers have warned that the protest will continue till their demands are not met.

The local district council member, Sarpanch and ward members have also joined the protests.

The district administration and company officials are yet to give any official statements on the matter.
