Farmer killed for failing to repay loan

Sambalpur: A farmer has been killed allegedly by a money lender for failing to repay loans at Mohammadpur village under Hirakud police distribution in Sambalpur district.

The deceased was identified as Nandu Haridas.

It is alleged that one Birupakhya Panda, a money lender, killed Nandu as the latter failed to repay the loan he had taken from him. The dead body was sent to the Burla medical for post-mortem. Police have started investigation into the incident.
