Fake marriage: Ready for DNA test, says junior doctor

Berhampur: In a fresh twist to the fake marriage allegations made by a woman against a junior doctor of the MKCG Medical College and Hospital here claiming that she was cheated on the pretext of marriage; the junior doctor has claimed innocence and termed the allegations as false and baseless.

The doctor, identified as Jyotiranjan Mohapatra, said the woman who has brought the allegations against him is already married and her divorce case is sub-judice. "In such case, how can the woman be my wife? I am ready for DNA and all other tests to prove my innocence," he said.

Meanwhile, the woman has dared Mohapatra for an open fight and said she is also ready for all the tests.

Earlier on Thursday, the woman had filed a complaint at the Mahila police station. As per the complainant’s report, Mohapatra met her through a matrimonial site. Later, he established physical relation with her on the pretext of marriage and even got married at a Bhairabi temple and started living together in an apartment in Berhampur as a couple.
