Sonepur:  Police today seized fake currency notes with a face value of Rs 3.5 lakh near Kunja Chhak here and detained two persons in this connection.

Sources said the two accused were going towards Subarnapur from Boudh carrying the fake notes of Rs 2,000 and Rs 500 denominations. Acting on a tip-off, police intercepted the two and later detained them.

Investigation is on into the matter, police said.
