Bhubaneswar: The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) has decided to allocate 15 more minutes to students appearing for Biology paper of the Plus II examination scheduled to begin from March 6, 2018, sources said.

The decision of the CHSE comes after opposition from students over allotment of a single sitting for both Botany and Zoology subjects of Biology paper.

The CHSE will soon notify on the allocation of 15 minutes extra time, said sources.

As per the schedule, the Botany and Zoology exams will be held on March 23. Both the subjects will have separate question set.

Initially students have to write answers for Botany subject from 10 am to 11.30 am and after submission they will have to appear for Zoology paper till 1.15 pm.

Earlier, the CHSE used to conduct both the subjects in separate sittings. However, after the council decided to introduce CBSE pattern of exam for Plus II, both the subjects of Biology paper have been included in a single sitting.
