Expectant mother dies due to alleged negligence in treatment

Keonjhar: An expectant mother died allegedly due to negligence in treatment and lack of blood supply at Champua hospital in Keonjhar district.

According to reports, the deceased, Babita Minz, was rushed to the hospital after she developed labour pain yesterday. However, the family members alleged that the doctors did not attend her.

The ordeal of the family did not end there as they also failed to get blood from the blood bank of the hospital.

“No authorities helped us or informed that blood is provided free at the blood bank,” said Jamuna Minz, a relative of the deceased.

However, the hospital authorities have refuted the allegations of any negligence in treatment.
