Bhubaneswar: Odisha government has decided to exempt fees for the differently-abled students pursuing higher education in different government and government-aided educational institutions.

Secretary of the Higher Education Department of Odisha has written in this regard to the higher educational institutions operating in the State.

The differently-abled students like blind students who use Braille for studies, hearing impaired and dumb students, orthopedically handicapped students with disability more than 75% will be exempted from tuition fees and examination and certificate fees for pursuing higher education in government and government-aided institutions across the State.

Besides, the government has stated that all the students under the above mentioned three categories who have already paid the fees will be refunded.

Meanwhile, the higher educational institutions have been sought a status report on the same by October 9, 2017.
