Cuttack: Former legislator Raj Kishore Ram passed away at a privately-run nursing home located in Cuttack during the wee hours today at the age of 83.

Ram, who was suffering from heart problems and undergoing treatment at the nursing home, breathed his lat at 3.20 am.

Ram’s mortal remains were taken in a procession around Tangi town and brought to the Choudwar College for public to pay their last respects.

Ram was a two-time MLA from Tangi-Choudwar Assembly constituency.
