Bhubaneswar: In a sensational case, Sishir Gamang, son of former Odisha Chief Minister Giridhar Gamang, has charged his wife with harassment, torture of their minor son and extra-marital affair.

At a press meet here today, Sishir revealed that her wife Monica Gamang has mentally and physically tortured their 10-year-old son. Moreover, Sishir alleged that Monica had fled with cash worth Rs 5 lakh and ornaments worth Rs 2.3 crore.

While charging his wife with having an extra-marital affair, Sishir informed the media that Monica had married a person named Gaurav Barar without his knowledge.

Notably, Sishir and Monica got married in 2003 after a love affair. However, both got divorced in 2012 without the knowledge of their family members. After their family members came to know about their separation, they remarried in 2014.

However, one year into their remarriage, Monica started torturing him and his 10-year-old son, alleged Sishir, adding that he came to know about his wife’s extra-marital affair one year after their remarriage.

“The torture of my son started from the age of 9. Monica’s behavior suddenly changed after remarriage but I came to know about the truth much later. I want justice for my son,” he said.

Sishir also informed that he has filed a police complaint with Bhubanswar ACP – Zone 3 demanding security for himself and his son.

While reacting to Sishir's allegations, Monica said "We have been divorced since past two years. Following divorce, I married elsewhere. I have all the proof and will present it before the court. The truth will come out after probe."
