Cuttack:  The evaluation of answer sheets of the Class X board exams (Matriculation) conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha began today at 60 centres across the State.

BSE has made three-tier arrangements for ensuring an ‘error free’ evaluation of answer copies of over 6 lakh students who had appeared in high school certificate examination (HSC) in the state this year.

The BSE authorities have engaged over 14,000 teachers for the evaluation of answer copies.

As per plans, the BSE officials are contemplating to complete entire evaluation process within 10 days which will play a crucial role in the early publication of the matriculation results.

“The evaluation process started at 10 am and there were no reports of any problems in any of the centres today,” said Examination Controller, Nihar Ranjan Mohanty.

A chief examiner, deputy examiner and one camp officer have been appointed to supervise the evaluation process while a data entry operator has also been deployed in each of the evaluation centres.

“On first day 25 answer sheets will be evaluated by each examiner and gradually the number of copies would be increased. Marks of subjective answer sheets would be posted online,” said headmistress Lady Louis Girls High School, Sambalpur, Ratnaprava Pradhan.
