Bhubaneswar: The Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) has planned to set up a super speciality hospital and two 100-bed hospitals in the state, said Union minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan here yetserday.

The super speciality hospital, which will have around 500 beds, will be constructed at Bhubaneswar in a phased manner at a cost of Rs 400 crore, Pradhan said adding that the other two 100-bed hospitals will be constructed at Duburi and Angul with an investment of Rs 100 crore each.

Talking to the media after attending the national-level meeting of Small and Medium Newspapers Federation of Bhubaneswar, the minister said, “The renovation work of ESI hospital in the city has been completed with an investment of Rs 66 crore.”
