Malkangiri: Death toll due to the Japanese Encephalitis rose to 120 today after two children lost their lives at the Malkangiri district headquarters hospital in one day while undergoing treatment for suffering from the vector borne disease.

The latest encephalitis casualty was Kurchi Bhumia (2) of Salami village under Mathili block, who was undergoing treatment at the Malkangiri hospital.

Earlier in the day, Rashmita Khila of Kapeguda village under Kudumulugumma block died of the vector borne disease.
