Sundergarh: Vehicular traffic was disrupted due to a seven-hour Sundergarh bandh call given by BJP from 6 am today over egg attack on Union Minister Jual Oram during a visit to Kendrapara district on Wednesday.

The party activists have blocked roads and staged pickets at various places in the district demanding immediate arrest of persons involved in the egg attack on Jual Oram under the SC and ST Atrocity Prevention Act.

Health and banking services have been kept unaffected of the bandh.

Meanwhile, a delegation of the State BJP leaders is scheduled to meet Governor SC Jamir today to seek his intervention into the matter.

BJP senior leader Brajsundar Bhuiyan on Thursday filed a complaint on the egg attack incident at the Aul police station naming 22 persons in the FIR copy.

The Union Minister was shown black flags by BJD activists during his visit to Rajkanika area in Kendrapara district to attend BJP’s ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas Sammelan’ function.
