Bhadrak/Cuttack: As the cyber team of Odisha Crime Branch today reached the town to probe into Bhadrak violence over circulation of objectionable materials in social media, the administration has declared to open the educational institutions, banks and other offices in the district from tomorrow. The decision comes even after a fresh violence resurfacing at Bonth square, on the outskirts of the town this morning.

Crime Branch special DG BK Sharma tweeted about the investigation. “Cyber  team of Odisha Crime Branch is at Bhadrak to investigate spread of rumours in social media. A 7- member team of CB shall probe into all aspects related to circulation of rumours and objectionable materials in social media”, Sharma informed through his twitter account.

On the other hand, fresh violence erupted at Bonth when miscreants set some shops ablaze, following which curfew was re-imposed there and the periphery.

The prohibition order was relaxed in the town till 12 noon and later it was extended by two hours. The district administration earlier decided to open the Aaahar centres today and asked all bank authorities to open their respective branches during the relaxation period. But, all educational institutions that have remained closed today in view of security concern, will reopen tomorrow, Collector Gyan Ranjan Das informed.
