Bhubaneswar: To provide comfortable journey to the commuters and to avoid rush in regular trains, East Coast Railway (ECoR) has decided to run Shatabdi and Jan Shatabdi Express trains daily instead of earlier six days in a week.

Shatabdi Express on Wednesdays and Jan Shatabdi Express on Sundays will run as Special Trains till June 1 and May 29 respectively, an ECoR release said today.

As per the schedule, 02278 Puri-Howrah Shatabdi Special train will leave Puri at 0545 hours o­n every Wednesday and reach at Howrah at 1340 hours o­n the same day between May 11 and June 1. In the return direction, 02277 Howrah-Puri Shatabdi Special train will leave Howrah at 1425 hours o­n every Wednesday and arrive at Puri at 2200 hours o­n the same day during the period.

Similarly, 02074 Bhubaneswar-Howrah Jan Shatabdi Special train will leave Bhubaneswar at 0600 hours o­n every Sunday and reach at Howrah at 1240 hours o­n the same day between May 8 and May 29. In the return direction, 2073 Howrah-Bhubaneswar Jan Shatabdi Special train will leave Howrah at 1325 hours o­n every Sunday and arrive at Bhubaneswar at 2010 hours o­n the same day during the period, the release added.
