Bhubaneswar: The six day All India Railway Bharat Scouts and Guides Jamborette organised by the East Coast Railways in Bhubaneswar will conclude on Thursday. The event saw the participation of more than 2500 Railway Bharat Scouts and Guides volunteers from various Railway zones from all over the country.

Railway sources said,  Scouts and Guides, Rovers, Rangers, Leaders and  organisers made a human chain and organised route march on social awareness  from Kalinga Hospital Chowk to Acharya Vihar.

The ECoR Bharat Scouts & Guides State Chief Commissioner Manju Ray said, ‘‘The objective behind the human chain is to educate people on social issues and drive home the message that we should live like a family and help others at the time of need.’’

Nisha, a participant said, ‘’this is the first time I took part in this event and  I enjoyed Poster Making, Road Painting, Cooking food without utensils and many other exercises.’’

DK Gayen, Member Staff of Railway Board, graced the occasion as chief guest on the inaugural day on January 6 and encouraged the volunteers. Umesh Singh, General Manager, ECoR was the guest of honour on the occasion.
