Bhubaneswar/ Cuttack: East Coast Railways on Thursday announced cancellation of several passenger and express trains keeping in view modernisation work at Cuttack railway station.

As per official sources, train services to Cuttack will be rescheduled while several trains will be diverted and cancelled for a period of 10 days from August 18.

“Due to safety related modernisation work and separation of grid at Cuttack station, it has been decided to divert, short terminate and cancel some trains from August 18 to August 27,” said an official release.

Keeping in view the problems to be faced by the passengers, the railway has decided to divert some trains via Bhubaneswar-Naraj-Kapilas Road.

All the trains will be diverted without touching Cuttack station from August 18.

Special provision for stoppage of trains have been made at Kapilas Road Station from where the passengers can avail bus services between Cuttack and Kapilas road station during the period.

78504/78502/78501/78503 Palasa-Bhubaneswar-Cuttack-Palasa Passenger will run upto Mancheswar and will remain cancelled between Mancheswar & Cuttack from both the directions.58416/58415 Puri-Cuttack-Puri Passenger will run upto Baranga and will remain cancelled between Baranga & Cuttack from both the directions.

58434/58433 Brahmapur-Cuttack-Brahmapur Passenger will run up to Bhubaneswar and will remain cancelled between Bhubaneswar & Cuttack from both the directions.
