Bhubaneswar: Sprinter Dutee Chand today claimed that her cousin, who was killed in a road accident recently, died pursuing challenges of the online suicide game Blue Whale.

In a post on social media, the international sprinter said the Blue Whale challenge took the life of her brother Utkal Keshari Guin (24). She said, “Suspecting his activities and the circumstances surrounding the accident, I checked all his posts on Facebook from where I got to know that he had been playing Blue Whale.”

She further stated that her cousin had posted photos of a cut mark on his hand, selfie on a rooftop corner and going outside for tea at 4 am as per the guidelines of the online suicide game. She suspected that Utkal met with the accident while playing the last level of the game. However, she sought an investigation into the incident and said, “A proper inquiry into the series of events would make everything clear.”
