Dussehra: Maha Navami puja of Goddess Durga performed

Bhubaneswar: All roads led to puja pandals as Maha Navami ritual of Goddess Durga was performed today.

Amid blowing of conch and 'hulahulis', Navami ‘homa’ was performed at the puja pandals. The special rituals of 16 offerings or ‘Shodasopachar puja’ were conducted earlier in the morning.

At the shrines across the State, Dashami Puja of Goddess Durga was also conducted, with devotees offering their prayers to the Goddess on the auspicious occasion for good health and prosperity.

Meanwhile, festivities continue in full swing with the Navratri dandiya nights hosted in cities across the State. Devotees observing the nine-day long Navratri celebrated ‘kanya pujan’ today.
