Duplicate lubricant manufacturing unit busted

Bhubaneswar: In yet another crackdown on racketeers, Commissionerate Police busted a duplicate lubricant manufacturing unit at Mancheswar on Sunday.

The quick action team of Commissionerate police conducted a raid at the factory and seized logo, labels of several reputed engine oil brands.

According to sources, the prime accused Babaji Sahoo has also been arrested in connection with the incident.

The breakthrough for Commissionerate police assumes significance keeping in view the interest of the consumers who are at the receiving end due to such fake products sold in the market.

Earlier, an adulterated ghee manufacturing unit was also busted in Laxmisagar on November 16.

Nearly two quintals of adulterated ghee which was being prepared using refined oil and borax powder was seized and six persons running the racket were also arrested in this connection.
