Driver killed as dumper falls off bridge in Sundergarh

Sundergarh: The driver of a dumper was killed when the vehicle fell off a bridge near Gauduniposh under Lahunipada police limits in the district today.

The incident occurred when the dumper loaded with bricks fell around 50 feet down from the bridge. The driver died on the spot. Later, a rescue operation was carried out with the use of a crane. Meanwhile, vehicular movement on the National Highway- 143 was disrupted due to rescue drive.

Getting information, police rushed to the spot and started investigation. However, the reason behind the incident is yet to be ascertained.
