Dreaded criminal injured in police encounter in Khurda

Jankia: Notorious criminal Silu Chhotray was injured in a police encounter at Chhanagiri under Jankia police limits of Khurda district, police sources informed today.

Acting on a tip off, Jankia police had conducted a raid on the hideout of Chhotray in Chhanagiri forest. During the encounter Chhotray sustained bullet injuries on his right leg.

Meanwhile, Chhotray is undergoing treatment at the District Headquarters Hospital, Khurda.

As per reports, Chhotray was also involved in the Odisha Gramya Bank (OGB)'s Sarangadhara branch loot in Nayagarh district on April 6.
