Dreaded criminal injured in police encounter

Berhampur: Dreaded criminal Mithun Bhuyan was injured in an encounter by police on the Bhanjanagar-Durgaprasad in Ganjam district road last night.

The cops also seized a bike, a pistol and four live bullets from Bhuyan. He sustained bullet injuries on his legs in the encounter.

Ganjam SP Ashish Singh said eight dacoity cases are pending against him in various police stations. Bhuyan is also involved in Buguda jewellery shop loot incident on October 31.
