Dreaded criminal held during encounter, admitted to hospital

Berhampur: Dreaded criminal Shatrughna alias Bapi Swain was nabbed after a police encounter near Lankagada hills of Jagannath Prasad in Ganjam district today. Berhampur: Dreaded criminal Shatrughna alias Bapi Swain was nabbed after a police encounter near Lankagada hills of Jagannath Prasad in Ganjam district today.

With bullet injuries in both legs during the encounter, Bapi was admitted to the Bhanjanagar hospital for treatment. A pistol, two live bullets and a live bomb were seized from his possession.

A total of 11 cases are pending against Bapi at different police stations in the district.
