Bhubaneswar/Cuttack: The growing awareness about health and fitness among the Twin City denizens is not only limited to morning walks, marathons and cyclothons but has got deep into their regular lifestyle by way of diet and drinks that help them keep fit. The rows of stalls selling health drinks near parks and walking tracks are a testimony to this fad.

Whether its Satyabrata Stadium in Cuttack or Forest Park in the state capital, the morning walkers, joggers and others are seen making a beeline to the vendors selling these so called healthy and nutritious natural drinks like Pudina, carrot Juice, bitter gourd or neem juice and the variety is just endless.

Talking to odishatv.in, Hulia Pal of Cuttack who sells homemade juice at Satyabrata Stadium daily in the morning and is quite popular among the people here,  says, "Different types of juices are available at my stall like Carrot Juice, Pudina Juice, Neem Juice, Bitter gourd juice etc. All the fruits and vegetables are ground early in the morning and then I bring those here to sell in the morning from 7 am. All items at my stall are fresh and made keeping all the parameters of cleanliness in mind and my customers will vouch for my products."

Corroborating the claims of Hulia, a customer Arun says, "Nothing is artificial here. Natural products are served at this place so the juice will have no bad impact on health."

"He is serving people with a purpose and not with the intention of raking profits. I am sure he uses good water to make these drinks," said a jogger Dipti.

Similarly, in the capital city, the juice centre owned by Prafulla Muduli is quite popular among the joggers coming to Biju Patnaik Park. He claims his products to be at par with Ayurvedic drinks and pure as he uses Ayurvedic ingredients as and where necessary.

"Being inspired by my farther, I started this in 2003. These are all very pure and fresh herbal products. A variety of juices are available here for the customers which are made in my home. I use pure water for all my products," informed Prafulla.

"He is an educated man and knows a lot about Ayurveda. He is selling Ayurvedic juice which is being appreciated by people of all ages. He makes sure to wear gloves while serving. The juices act as medicines for various ailments and help many of us," said  a regular customer Jitu.

"After morning walk, I come here for herbal juice. I think even diabetes is under control after regular consumption of the juices. I am feeling energetic since last one year. Everything is very neat and clean here," said Ajit.
