Dolphin seized in crab trap in Chilika returns to water

Chilika: Dolphin caught in a prawn and crab trap in the Chilika Lake was rescued by some kind-hearted boatmen and returned to the water on Sunday.

The boatmen came to the rescue of the dolphin seized in the crab trap while ferrying some tourists near Mirzapur in the brackish water lake yesterday.

This is not a lone case as many marine animals including dolphins have died earlier allegedly because of the prawn and crab traps put in the Chilika Lake.
