Bhubaneswar: Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan today began campaigning for his party candidates for the upcoming panchayat elections in Odisha scheduled to kick up from February 13.

Pradhan addressed an election meeting at Tihidi in Bhadrak district.

The BJP leader is further scheduled to campaign on Khamar and Athamallik in Angul district, Shikharpur-Ranpur in Nayagarh district and Mendhasal, Jatni and Tamando on the outskirts of the State capital.

“The main agenda of the BJP for the panchayat poll campaigning is to make the public aware of the atrocity and injustice done by the BJD government. The government benefits are distributed among the beneficiaries giving precedence to the party men. The BJP is strongly opposed to such iniquitous distribution and ensures a change in the system”, Pradhan told media persons.
