Sambalpur: The newly formed Western Odisha United Platform (Paschim Odisha Milita Manch) in a press meet held today at Sambalpur presented its 7-point charter of demands including declaration of Gandhamardhan Hills as National property and ban on mining in the hills in future.

The other demands include, filling up teacher vacancies in schools, irrigation facility, commercialisation forest goods for the benefit and welfare of the Tribals and according autonomous status to Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR).

However, if the demands are not met before July 1, protests will be staged, informed the panel.
