Delang fire victims spend night under open sky

Puri: Nine families in Kuapada village of Delang in Puri have been left in misery after their houses were torched by some miscreants two days back.

With no roof over their heads, the affected families do not have anything else except clothes that they are wearing at present. Valuables such as grain packets, cash and furniture were burned into ashes in the incident.

The district administration today provided cooked food to the affected persons and polythene sheets for temporary shelter arrangement.

Besides, the local Tehsildar visited the village to assess the damages and assured a quick compensation and rehabilitation for the victims.

Some miscreants two days back torched the houses in Kuapada village and hurled bombs over alleged political enmity thereby creating a panic among the villagers.
