Das Burma shown black flags

Puri: Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Minister Sanjay Das Burma was shown black flags by the members of the youth wing of Odisha Congress at Piridipur on Puri-Satapada road in the district today.

The police detained the youth Congress president of Krushna Prasad block and three others for protesting the minister and blocking his road.

Das Burma was here to attend a programme at Satapada while the Youth Congress activists stormed the place with black flags in one hand and the party flag in another.
They alleged that the minister, who is the local MLA, failed to carry out developmental programmes in his own constituency.

They were shouting slogans against him. Puri town police immediately swung into action and whisked them away from the spot.

Later, the party workers staged a demonstration in front of the Brahmagiri police station by burning tyres and demanded release of the party activists.
