Dacoits loot businessman’s house in Rourkela

Rourkela:  In a daring dacoity, armed miscreants looted gold ornaments and other valuables worth Rs two lakh from the house of a garments trader at Basanti Nagar area of Rourkela on Saturday.

As per reports, taking advantage of the absence of the house owner Naresh Sinha, robbers armed with weapons looted the valuables by taking hostage other members of his family.

Sinha’s daughter said,” Nearly five to six masked miscreants entered our house at evening and robbed the house after taking me and my mother at gun point. They had threatened us to kill if we try to inform police.”

Investigation of the theft is on and the miscreants will be nabbed soon, assured Udit Nagar IIC S K Das.
