Bhubaneswar/Cuttack/Soro/Nabarangpur: In a major drive against corruption, the State Vigilance today searched houses and places across Odisha associated with a Food Supplies Joint Secretary, headmaster of an ashram school and a headmistress of a school in Kesharpur on charges of amassing disproportionate assets.

In Soro, an eight-member team led by DSP Madhusudan Behera raided the house of Food Supplies Joint Secretary Narendra Rout today morning.

In Nabarangpur, the sleuths searched the office of Sirisi Ashram School Headmaster Surendra Deep on charge of possessing properties and bank balance disproportionate to known sources of income. The ancestral house of the Sirisi Ashram School Headmaster at Medrisahi was also raided.

Besides, different teams of Vigilance conducted raids at five places including four buildings in Bhubaneswar and Khurda associated with Ganjam’s Kesharpur headmistress Sanjukta Kumari Rout for allegedly possessing disproportionate assets.
