DA case: Vig raid on Rural Development engineer

Bolangir: The Vigilance today raided houses of Assistant Engineer of Rural Development Bijan Kumar Jena on charges of amassing assets disproportionate to his known source of income.

Simultaneous raids were conducted at Jena’s house in Bhagabatinagar of Bolangir and ancestral home in Mangalpur in Cuttack.

Till the filing of this report, the searches were on.

Parameswara Kisan, Vigilance DSP, said “After getting a search warrant, the sleuths have undertaken search at Jena’s houses.”

Meanwhile, Jena feigned ignorance on the allegations and stated, “I have no issue due to the vigilance search as I don’t own any disproportionate assets.”
