Cuttack: Intensifying its probe into the criminal activities of the Dhalasamant brothers, the Commissionerate Police on Friday grilled the Cuttack Nagar Yuvak Sangha executive president Sanjeev Jena at Chauliaganj police station here.

According to sources, Jena was interrogated for three hours at the police station about his links with the arrested criminal siblings.

Besides, the police also quizzed Jena about the financial transactions of the association and how the criminal brothers were running it, the sources added. Earlier, Jena was served a notice to appear before the police.

Meanwhile, police has served notice to 13 persons for their involvement in the sand mine business of Dhalasamant brothers. Out the 13 persons served notice to appear before the police, eight live in Cuttack and nearby areas while the remaining five are from outside the state, according to police sources.

While some of them were involved in the auction of sand mines, others took themselves out from the process. They will be interrogated about how they managed to get the lease for the sand mines, sources in the police said.
