Cylinder protest: Locals block road over shortage of LPG

Sundargarh: Residents of Sundargarh town today blocked the Sambalpur-Rourkela road protesting shortage of LPG cylinders by placing empty gas tanks leading to disruption in vehicular movement.

The protesters alleged, despite booking in advance and paying advance cash, the cylinders are not delivered to them on time. Even when the complainants approached the agency - Basant Gas Agency, Panasapada Chhak, in Sundargarh town their grievance was unheard and they had to return empty-handed.

However, by the time the report was filed, the local police had reached the spot and was trying to pacify the irate locals to withdraw the protest.
